Perpetual Calendar Watches

A perpetual calendar is one of the most difficult complications to achieve. In layman’s terms it simply keeps track of the number of days in a month for an extended number of years (usually 100). This gets around the usual problem users used to face when one calendar month was 28 days and the watch always assumed it was 31. The typical perpetual calendar is based on the Gregorian calendar and as such, it is suited for most people. Some perpetual calendar watches also display the moon phase. This complication increases the challenge for the watchmaker and naturally, the price to you.
